Dear CoE Community,
As Dean Gallimore shared on Monday, we have had dozens of volunteers step up to join our first “Victory Garden” projects – volunteering to do work not usually in their job duties to serve areas of high need, or donating blood to serve the common good.
At this time, we are in need of more volunteers. Today, we have added 9 additional projects that focus on the annual CoE Stressbusters event. StressBusters is an every-term event sponsored by the CARE Center to provide scientifically proven methods of stress reduction. It is traditionally held on “study day” of every term. This term, we are transitioning to provide this event virtually and will need assistance from volunteers to staff these various virtual events as well as help come up with creative virtual versions of the activities.
Additionally, Stressbusters will be open to the entire CoE community as we band together to improve our well-being during this period of uncertainty. Check the College’s social media channels and COVID website for more information about these events in the coming days.
Please join other CoE volunteers, and sign-up to assist with a Stressbuster event by signing up on the Victory Garden website!
If you have a project or need that other staff could help you with, please log those here and the Victory Gardens team will work quickly to get you assistance.
