The College of Engineering’s weekly update aims to provide transparent and frequent information about how the College is operating, adapting and caring for its community. Updated information can always be found at the College’s COVID website. Questions and feedback can be submitted here.
We hope you had a restorative holiday weekend. The first week was pretty quiet in many regards. The biggest feedback/observations had to do with confusion around building access and needing MCards to unlock doors.
Now we’re closing out week two of the semester. The GEO strike is causing some additional disruptions to classes, but all our departments, faculty members and leaders are working hard to minimize that impact on students through alternative instructional mechanisms. Beyond that, here are a few reminders.
UPCOMING FIRE DRILLS
We are required to do them by the State. Currently the drills will run from Sept 14-23.
- Mask up and please remain as physically distant as possible when exiting the buildings
- Please do not congregate outside of the buildings
FIRST CAREER FAIR NEXT WEEK
The first big career fair, all virtual this academic year, is on September 14 & 15. Student registration is high, and may result in some scheduling conflicts for participating students.
