ENGIN UPDATE: Campus wide well-being breaks. Robotics café. Vaccines.

The College of Engineering’s weekly update aims to provide transparent and frequent information about how the College is operating, adapting and caring for its community. Updated information can always be found at the College’s COVID website. Questions and feedback can be submitted here.

The first couple weeks of any semester can feel like a whirlwind. This one certainly has for many. The stay in place recommendation for students is slated to end Sunday night, Feb. 7. Weekly saliva testing on N. Campus is in full swing and playing an important role in keeping our community safe. Schedule your visits so that they fit into your weekly routine. 

The February 1 re-opening of Michigan restaurants (starting at 25% capacity) and other gathering guidelines mark a hopeful milestone for many. This is happening at the same time the CDC applies a Federal mask mandate for all passengers on public conveyances (e.g., airplanes, ships, ferries, trains, subways, buses, taxis, ride-shares). 

 

EIGEN CAFÉ IN THE ROBOTICS BUILDING

If you’re on campus, you can refuel at the new Eigen Café in the Robotics Building. They are currently open from 8-3, M-F.  

 

FREE COFFEE AND DOUGHNUTS 

MDining and OSA have teamed up to safely distribute free coffee and doughnuts on Wednesdays from 10-11AM in the Duderstadt Connector. 

 

WELL-BEING BREAKS

The University added two mid-week, one-day “well-being breaks” without any scheduled academic activities on Feb. 24 and March 23. Please mark your calendars.
