Emergency Funding Available for CoE Students

We know that the unprecedented pace of changes and decision-making at this time is stressful. Beyond safety and health, there are concerns about access to technology, earnings from work, and transportation home. We are committed to ensuring a safe and healthy environment for everyone. The COVID-19 virus is a rapidly changing situation, and our primary concern is the safety of our entire community – and that includes you.

The College of Engineering has provided information regarding potential resources that may be of assistance in these matters. To learn more about academic, health & wellness, and CoE and University support resources, please visit: https://covid-19.engin.umich.edu/student-resources.

In addition, we have limited emergency funding available for students for whom these are not an option, or sufficient to meet their needs. If you are still in need of assistance, please complete the Emergency Funding Request Form, found here: https://scholarships.engin.umich.edu/

Please note that this funding is subject to federal and institutional regulations, so we may need to follow up with you for additional information or steps and all funds will need to be routed through your student account. If you do not demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA or after these steps, you current aid does not allow for additional funding without negative impact, we will be unable to provide emergency aid.

Again, we know that the uncertainty and stress of the current moment is difficult and want to support you in any way we can. If you have further questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us at: coe-studentaffairs@umich.edu.
